Goodbye to Preschool!

Tanner had his preschool graduation last week. He is getting so big and grown up! I did not expect to get emotional about this, but on his last day of preschool, I walked him into his classroom, and as he was hanging his little back pack on his hook I just got so sad. I cried all the way home, thinking about him growing up and becoming more of his own person and less of my little Tan Man. Sounds sappy and stupid, I know, but it was a sad moment for me . . . I can only imagine what I can expect to feel on the first day I drop him off at kindergarten!

On the flip side, however, Tanner will be gone for 7 hours a day! Holy freedom for me! I'll only have to take Cedar to a sitter while I go to school, and I will only have to take C to the store with me, and I can sleep during C's nap if I want (not that I don't do that anyway), the list goes on and on . . .

So congratulations my sweet Tan Tan, you did great in preschool and are soo excited to go to kindergarten! I asked him the other day if he was ready to have his child lock off his door in the car -- if he would leave the door handle alone now. He said "Yes, because kindergarteners don't need child locks and they know not to play with door handles." He's very ready and very excited.

And this is CC at Tanner's graduation. She always has so much fun and is a big ham at his school events.
